The Galich Autocrane Plant Open Joint Stock Company is one of the main manufacturers of hydraulic automobile cranes in Russia.
Since January 1, 1982, by order of the Minister of "Minstroydormash", the plant from the "Red Excavator" was transferred to the "Avtokran" Production Association and the plant was re-specialized in the production of automobile hydraulic cranes of the KS-4572 model with a lifting capacity of 16 tons and for the production of hydraulic cylinders. In 1986, the plant was renamed as a truck crane.
In 1982, an experimental batch of 5 truck cranes was produced. In 1983 - the installation batch - 30 pieces, and since 1984 the serial production of truck cranes began.
In 1989, the KS-4572A truck crane was modernized.
In 1993, the launch of the KS-4579 truck crane with a lifting capacity of 16 tons on the basis of the KrAZ chassis was mastered.
In 1996, the production of truck cranes with a lifting capacity of 20 tons was mastered: KS-45719-1 based on the KamAZ-53213 chassis, KS-45719-2 based on the KrAZ chassis. The number of employees during this period reached 1.5 thousand people.
In 1997, the production of KS-45719-4 truck crane with a lifting capacity of 20 tons on the basis of the KamAZ-53228 all-wheel drive chassis, KS-45721 with a loading capacity of 22.5 tons on the basis of the URAL-4320 chassis began, in 1998 the production of truck cranes with a lifting capacity of 25 tons was mastered: KS-55713 -1 based on the chassis KAMAZ, KS-55713-2 based on the chassis KrAZ, KS-55713-3 based on the chassis URAL, KS-55713-4 based on the chassis KAMAZ-53228, KS-55713-5 based on the chassis KAMAZ-43118 . In the same year, the production of truck cranes with a carrying capacity of 15 tons was mastered: KS-35719-5 based on the MAZ chassis, KS-35719-3 based on the URAL chassis.
In 1999, the plant began to master the production of the PL-95.10.00 mounted tractor for timber loading.
In 2000, the production of the KS-55715 automobile crane with a lifting capacity of 30 tons on the basis of the KamAZ-53229 chassis was mastered.
In 2001, GAKZ developed, manufactured and tested a truck crane KS-55721 with a lifting capacity of 36 tons based on the KamAZ-6540 chassis.
In 2002, the stake was placed on the development of the MAZ mobile urban automobile chassis and the production of a KS-55715-5 truck crane with a lifting capacity of 30 tons on the basis of the MAZ-630303 chassis, KS-55713-6 with a loading capacity of 25 tons on the basis of the MAZ-630303 chassis.
In September 2005, the 10,000th Galichanin truck crane was launched.
Galich Autocrane Plant OJSC has owned unique equipment for the production of hydraulic cylinders since 1974 and is one of the largest enterprises producing its own hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic equipment, components and assemblies.
In 2002, the OPU section was launched and a commercially new crane slewing ring was mastered. A section of CNC machines (16 units) for the manufacture of high-precision parts was commissioned. The plant mastered plasma cutting of metal and welding technology of high-strength steel of class 700.
In recent years, from 20 to 23 units of new equipment, including unique equipment, have been commissioned annually.
In 2006, the plant received a Certificate of Conformity, confirming the conformity of the quality management system with regard to the design, production, supply and maintenance of truck cranes to the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001: 2000 (GOST R ISO 9001-2001).
In 2007, GAKZ developed and mastered mass production of KS-55729V and KS-55729-1V cranes with a lifting capacity of 32 tons on the MAZ-6303A3 and KAMAZ-6540 chassis, respectively, with a boom of 30.2 m from bent half-boxes.
In 2008, KS-65713-1 truck cranes with a lifting capacity of 50 tons on a KAMAZ-65201 chassis and KS-55729-5B with a lifting capacity of 32 tons on a KAMAZ-63501 (8x8) chassis were developed and introduced into production.
In 2009, serial production of truck cranes with a lifting capacity of 25 tons with a boom from a bent profile with a length of 28 m was developed and mastered. The model range is represented by cranes KS-55713-1V on the chassis KAMAZ-65115, KS-55713-3V on the chassis Ural-5557, KS-55713 -4V on the KAMAZ-53228 chassis, KS-55713-6V on the MAZ-6303A3 chassis, KS-55713-5V on the KAMAZ-43118 chassis. At the request of customers, these truck cranes can be equipped with a more ergonomic (with a wide viewing angle) crane operator’s cabin manufactured by Tver Excavator OJSC.
Mobile cranes with a lifting capacity of 50 tons KS-64713-2 on the MZKT-700600 chassis and KS-65713-5 on the KAMAZ-6560 chassis were also produced.
In 2010, GAKZ OJSC developed and introduced into production truck cranes with a lifting capacity of 60 tons: KS-65721 on the Volvo FM 13 chassis, KS-65721-2 on the MZKT-700600 chassis, KS-65721-1 on the KAMAZ-65201 chassis.
To operate in off-road conditions, a truck crane with a lifting capacity of 80 tons KS-74713 was launched on a special crane chassis MZKT 790200 (10x10).
In 2011, the plant developed technical documentation for truck cranes with a lifting capacity of 50 tons KS-65713-7 on a Volvo FM 11 (8x4) chassis and a lifting capacity of 60 tons KS-65721-6 on an all-terrain chassis MZKT-652714 (8x8), made prototypes and carried out acceptance and certification tests, carried out pre-production and started serial production of the above cranes in August 2011.
In 2012, the plant developed technical documentation for the KS-64721-2 jib crane with a lifting capacity of 60 tons on a special chassis MZKT-750120-121 (10x4).
Since February 2012, design work was underway to create a jib crane with a lifting capacity of 110 tons KS-99713 on a special five-axle wheeled chassis with a 10 × 8 wheel arrangement. The crane was presented at the annual Moscow international exhibition "Construction Equipment and Technologies-2012".
September 8, 2012, on the day of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the release of the first truck crane, a new boom manufacturing site was opened and a unique EHT press (made in Germany) was launched, which has no analogues in the Russian Federation. The equipment was manufactured according to an individual project specifically for OAO GAKZ.
In 2013, mass production of cranes with a lifting capacity of 70 tons of the KS-75721 series on the Volvo FM (8x4) chassis and KS-75721-1 on the KamAZ-7330 (10x4) chassis began.
At the end of December 2013, acceptance tests of the KS - 99713 jib crane with a lifting capacity of 110 tons with a five-section ovoid boom 52 m long were successfully carried out at GAKZ OJSC.
Truck cranes manufactured by OJSC Galich Autocrane Plant are well known to consumers in Russia and the near abroad. It is enough to point out that this is the only enterprise in the CIS that produces such a wide range of equipment and has been developing steadily over recent years. The plant implements a comprehensive program to increase sales of products. A network of service and dealer centers has been organized: in Moscow, St. Petersburg, the Urals, Tyumen, the Far East, Stavropol, Tatarstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus and Ukraine.
