The history of the company began when, in 1976, work began on the development of the Ozeretsko-Pesochnoe peat deposit. Peat extraction was carried out by surface milling and a trench method of harvesting, followed by transportation to the piles.
Currently, Sphagnum LLC is engaged in the extraction and processing of peat (sphagnum) of the low decomposition type. Peat meets the requirements of the German standard DIN 11540, Russian standards and specifications.
Extraction and processing of peat is carried out on the Canadian equipment "Premier Tech" (Canada). A line has been established for sorting, crushing, drying and pressing peat under pressure into plastic bags with a capacity of 170 liters (6 ft) and 113 liters (4 ft).
The products are of high quality and are currently being shipped to different countries. About 10,000 tons are sold to the domestic market in the form of derivative products (nutrient soil, oil sorbents, fertilizers).
All peat products are certified for delivery to various countries of the world.
