SMARTS is one of the first GSM-operators with 25 years of experience. In 2015, the company changed its line of business, initiating a new project, "Creating Road Networks." The goal of the project is the creation of a super-powerful telecommunication infrastructure of the Russian Federation for the construction of fiber optic links and the provision of all promising communication services with the highest level of reliability and year-round availability. The project provides for the construction of a total length of more than 147 thousand km, in the territory of 85 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the volume of investments - about 200 billion rubles. When laying a fiber optic link in the roadside, there are no biological and mechanical factors affecting reliability. 2. Year-round and round-the-clock availability of fiber-optic communication lines for operational maintenance. 3. 2-3 times reduce the cost of construction and design of fiber optic links. 4. Minimized land use. (5-10 cm instead of 4-32 m during the construction in the traditional way). 5. Consumers receive non-discriminatory access to infrastructure at lower rates. The location of TMK in the roadside naturally solves the issues of building the fiber-optic network infrastructure to ensure transport safety, including the introduction of photo-video recording systems for traffic violations, it will be possible to monitor vehicle traffic in real time, the fire situation and the parameters of the air in the tunnels, create a comprehensive security system for gas stations. Currently, SMARTS JSC has design documentation with a positive conclusion, a building permit and has begun construction of a pilot zone in the Samara Region.
