Centrax Limited is a privately held company. Our head office is located in Newton Abbot, County Devon in the southwest of England. The company was founded in 1946 by Richard HH Barr, holder of the Order of the British Empire, and the late Geoffrey R White, who worked in the 1940s with Sir Frank Whittle in the design group of jet aircraft engines over the solution of the problem of using a gas turbine as an aircraft thrust.
The Centrax Gas Turbine division specializes in the production and maintenance of gas turbine units with power from 3.9 to 66 MV based on Siemens engines. The equipment is mainly used for the production of combined heat and electricity, as well as primary and backup energy sources in a simple cycle.
