The Mozhginsky butter and cheese factory was founded in 1933 with subordination to the Udmurt Trust of the People's Commissariat of the Meat and Dairy Industry of the RSFSR.

In the 60s, the plant was reconstructed, production departments expanded, a boiler and compressor rooms were built, since steam and cold are the first satellites of product quality. The workshops were also equipped with new technological equipment. Pasteurized milk, cottage cheese, sour cream began to appear on store shelves. Then a production line for butter production was mounted, and a storage chamber was equipped. Oil was sent to Moscow, Leningrad, Murmansk, Sverdlovsk.

For the first time in 1972, the plant was invited to Moscow to see the quality of oil. The oil was rated top grade with the presentation of a valuable gift - the Volga car.

In 1973, a new plant was put into operation, which was equipped with imported cheese-making equipment with a design capacity of 2650 tons of cheese per year.

In accordance with the Law of the Russian Federation “On Privatization of State Municipal Enterprises in the RSFSR and the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation“ On Accelerating the Privatization of State and Municipal Enterprises ”dated January 29, 1992 No. 66, the Mozhginsky cheese factory was registered as an open joint stock company“ Mozhgasyr ”.

In 1987, the reconstruction of cheese production was carried out with the replacement of cheese baths with a design capacity of 3800 tons per year.

In 2005, cheese-making equipment was replaced. Its capacity is 9000 tons of cheese per year. For the manufacture of cheese, 3 cheese makers from Tetra Pak were installed, each with a capacity of 15 tons, each with computer control and equipment washing using a centralized CIP station. The cheese pressing equipment was replaced by a computer-controlled press by Chalon Megard. New equipment allows not only to increase the volume of products, but also significantly improve its quality.

At the same time, equipment for milk reception was installed, which allows to accelerate this process. The first in Russia to install a bactofuga with a capacity of 35,000 liters per hour from Tetra Pak for the mechanical purification of milk.

In connection with the increase in demand for processed cheese, a new workshop was built, which allowed to increase the range and volume of output.

In 2011, the whole milk production workshop was expanded. A new workshop for the production of cottage cheese and curd products with a production capacity of 1080 tons per year was built.

The company has a unique production of growing natural kefir fungi, which are necessary for the production of kefir. Such a necessary product for the human body.

The expansion and reconstruction of the production halls of the plant allowed expanding the range of dairy products. Among them there are more than 10 types of yoghurts, kefir, sour cream, cottage cheese, Dutch, Kostroma, Russian, Poshekhonsky, Gouda, Gouda Premium, Tilsiter, Edaam, Maasdam cheese , “Philadelia”, “Mascarpone”, sausage “Smoked”, “Hunter”, “Amber”, “Nezhenka”, “Peasant” butter and much more.

Mozhgasyr LLC is one of the largest enterprises in Udmurtia, and in cheese production it occupies one of the leading places in Russia. The quality of products of LLC “Mozhgasyr” was evaluated not only by consumers but also by specialists at reviews and contests.

An automated process control system has been introduced at the enterprise, which allows maintaining high quality standards in accordance with the requirements of GOST R ISO 22000-2007, based on the principles of HACCP.

Currently, an investment program for the further development of the enterprise is being successfully implemented.
