The National Union of Sheep Breeders was created in 2008 in order to: provide reliable information for members of the union regarding the markets for products, assistance in its implementation, providing a detailed analysis of the development of world sheep husbandry, organizing scientific support for the industry, etc.
The union includes 205 members, including agricultural enterprises, K (F) X, processing organizations, firms specializing in providing industry. equipment, machinery, software, veterinary products and materials for artificial insemination. The number of animals in the farms to which the union provides services is more than 5 million heads. The National Union of Sheep Breeders, together with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, has developed and is implementing the Federal Branch Target Program: “Development of sheep and goat breeding in the Russian Federation for 2012-2014. and for the planning period until 2020 ”, which envisages an increase in livestock by 2020; increase in production volumes.
