The Tyumen Battery Plant opened in December 1941.
In 1987, the new leadership decided to expand the range of products as quickly as possible, increase the production of batteries and start producing components of their own manufacture.
From 1987 to 2001, the plant mastered and modernized more than a dozen new types of batteries for cars, buses and tractors, motorcycle equipment, diesel locomotives, power plants, communication centers and gas pumping units, and electric floor vehicles.
In addition, the plant established units for the collection of secondary raw materials, built and equipped with equipment of its own production site for the processing of battery scrap, the production of lead-antimony alloy, calcium alloy, pure lead and recovery of polypropylene.
Every year, the plant implements a wide program of modernization and expansion of the production base, which 70% uses equipment of its own production.
The plant’s specialists are already solving the problems of developing and launching production of completely new samples of rechargeable batteries that meet modern world requirements. Lead processing was organized near Tyumen; a joint venture with ACCU Produktions und Handels GMBH (Austria) and Technofin (Italy) Rosavit for the production of plastic parts and battery components began to work.
A network of sales offices and centers for the sale of plant products was organized, which are located in 42 large cities of Russia and the CIS countries.
The long-term goals and objectives that the plant has set for itself are to maintain a traditionally high level of production and quality of rechargeable batteries, create promising battery models in order to meet the needs of industrial consumers and individuals.
The quality system of the plant is certified for compliance with the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2008 (ISO 9001: 2008).
