The history of the development of the Van Cliff brand began in the small Dutch town of Amstelveen, near Amsterdam, in 1921, when the still unknown young tailor Alfred Van Cliff opened his first workshop for tailoring men's suits.
I must say that Alfred was not only a follower of the traditions of his family, where both his father and grandfather were tailors, but also a great artist who exhibited his works and had an impeccable sense of style.
