Milk Products Belarus, Yanino Village,

The history of the Verkhnedvinsk creamery is a long and difficult way from integrated dairy factories to one of the most advanced industries in its industry.

In 1932, in the city of Drissa (which was what Verkhnedvinsk was called until December 1962), at the confluence of the Drissa River and the Zapadnaya Dvina River, the Drissen butter-cheese factory was created. It was located in the center of the town along Sovetskaya Street and occupied only one building. The main specialization of the plant was the production of cheese. Along with the main workshop, there was also a separator department in the village of Bigosovo, an oil production department in the village of Borkovichi and a department in the village of Volyntsi, where butter and cheese were produced.

All work at the plant and in its village branches was carried out almost manually. True, sometimes "small" mechanization was also used. For example, in Volyntsi, oil was produced in a fault with a drive that set in motion ... a horse.

Unfortunately, the early history of the Verkhnedvinsk creamery is limited to this information. However, like many other enterprises of the heroic Verkhnedvinsk district. The Great Patriotic War was to blame for this: no documents were preserved, there were no living witnesses - those who worked in the plant and its branches in those pre-war years.
