Brown Fused Alumina, also known as aluminium oxide, is obtained from the material bauxite through the process of electric arc furnace fusing. Its primary constiuent is alumina, Al2O3. Brown fused alumina is an ecologically clean and extremely hard material. It is used in abresive, refractory production and in dry and wet blasting applications where it is reusable. Its ability to produce sharp, self-regenerating edges makes brown alumina a highly versatile material. It is notable for its absence of respirable free silica (SiO2), ensuring full compliance with occupational health and safety criteria. Brown fused alumina is compatible with a wide range of materials, including glass, metal, plastic, wood, stone, marble and various kitchen and cookware items. It has superior performanc in sandblasting cleaning of materials.
