Description of the device for stunning cattle The device for stunning livestock KB (Germany) is intended for stunning animals before slaughter in slaughter shops, at enterprises of a processing complex of low and medium productivity. The principle of operation is a pop-up rod driven by a powder charge. When the charge is triggered, the rod pierces the animal's skull and damages the brain, as a result of which it does not experience pain and is in an unconscious, immobilized state. This avoids stress on the animal, ensures good exsanguination and high quality meat. The device has a robust construction, made of stainless steel, and can be used in the most difficult conditions in slaughterhouses. The KB device is universal and mobile, does not require additional devices, special maintenance and additional settings. It can be used to stun cows, bulls, horses, pigs, sows, sheep, goats and others. The device works with powder charges, which are supplied in several modifications depending on the type and size of the livestock.
