Description of the device for stunning cattle The device for stunning livestock KB (Germany) is intended for stunning animals before slaughter in slaughter shops, at enterprises of a processing complex of low and medium productivity. The principle of operation is a pop-up rod driven by a powder charge. When the charge is triggered, the rod pierces the animal's skull and damages the brain, as a result of which it does not experience pain and is in an unconscious, immobilized state. This avoids stress on the animal, ensures good exsanguination and high quality meat.
